ABOUT FUSE
Building positive futures.
Personalised, trauma-informed education that helps young people build confidence, resilience and the skills to thrive.
Fuse Alternative Provision provides specialist, personalised education for young people who need a different approach to learning.
We work with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including those who may be experiencing barriers to engagement, confidence or progress in mainstream education. Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where every learner feels valued, understood and able to succeed.
Trauma-informed practice is central to our work. We recognise that past experiences can affect learning, behaviour, relationships and emotional wellbeing. Through consistency, empathy, positive relationships and individual support, we help young people build emotional regulation, resilience, self-confidence and practical strategies for everyday life.
Our provision combines personalised learning with opportunities for growth through sport, teamwork, enrichment activities and social-skills development. Learners are supported to recognise their strengths, celebrate achievements and overcome barriers at a pace that is right for them.
We offer recognised qualifications in English, Mathematics, Personal Development and Relationships Education, from Entry Level 3 to Level 2. We also provide vocational opportunities through our Pathways into Construction programme, where young people can explore trades, take part in practical workshops, meet employers and develop skills for the workplace.
Our purpose is to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and help every young person build the foundations for a positive future in further education, apprenticeships, training, employment and the wider community.
